DigitalWatch is an application designed to be a free open source software that does the following: 1) Retrieve the current digital tv recording settings, such as which channels and which programs are being recorded. 2) Provide an easy to use "watch" mode. 3) Record all the programs watched in an AVI-format for later viewing. 4) Record all the channels watched and the programs recorded to an MP4-format so the content can be archived on a harddrive. All the records can be watched on many different hardware platforms, but have been most useful on Apple's AppleTV, on devices such as the RazorTv and perhaps most useful of all on Windows & Linux machines. As the program stands today, it was designed to be and will be a "watch" mode. This means that it was designed to be used while watching a program, and not as a daily recording scheduler. It does what is necessary to find out which channels and programs are being recorded, and then presents the user with a screen that looks something like this: While watching a program, it will show the current channel, show the current program being played, the number of days for which the program has been recorded, and other pertinent information. If a channel is changed, the next program that will be recorded will be displayed and a button will be displayed to go back to the channel. There is also a delete button. This button when pressed, will cause the program being watched to stop, however it will not remove the program from the list of programs being watched. This is needed to allow programs to be played over and over again without this being an issue. If the delete button is pressed while a program is being watched, the program will be removed from the list of programs being watched. The TV shows page is the main screen of the application, and it is the only screen that can be customized. The main TV Shows screen is where the user can add or remove shows from the list of shows being recorded. The user is able to add new shows to the list by dragging them from the iTunes side panel. The shows on the list can be sorted in many different ways, and can be searched for by either title or name. Once a show is added, the program will be played for the number of days displayed on the right. If a show is watched for a day, the button will be changed to be "Watch". Pressing the "Watch" button will load the next program. If the show has been recorded for many days, then the button will change to "Delete", the button will be removed from the list, and the program will no longer be watched. If a program is deleted, the program will be removed from the list and the delete button will be removed. This is done in order to prevent the user from watching System Requirements For DigitalWatch: Minimum: OS: Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 or 10 (64-bit versions) CPU: Intel Pentium 4 or later (2 GHz) Memory: 1 GB RAM (recommended) Hard drive: minimum 10 GB of free space for installation.
